The 4 Biggest, Baddest Mistakes Brides Make When Planning A Budget Wedding

By Sarah Martin

It's becoming harder and harder to be able to afford a wedding. Many couples are delaying their wedding just so that they can afford the nice wedding of their dreams. This article is going to take a look at some of the more common mistakes many couples are making when they plan a cheap wedding.

#1 Having Too Big Of A Wedding: Let's face it, if you really want to cut costs, then your going to have to cut down on the number of guests. A 200 guest wedding can cost a fortune when you have to send them invites and feed them. Only invite the people who are most important to you. Try to keep the guest list below 100.

#2 Getting A Loan: Many couples think it's a good idea to get a wedding loan. This is a bad idea. One of the worst things you can do is start your marriage off in a pile of debt. Lower your budget to a size that is much easier to afford. You will be glad that you did.

#3 Letting Your Emotions Take Over: Having a wedding is an emotional experience. Those emotions are the same ones that cause you to go over your budget. Hold your emotions in check. Make sure that you have someone with you that can help keep you within your budget when you are shopping. Overspending will only cost you more pain in the long run.

#4 Spending Too Much On Photography: Good photography could cost you thousands of dollars. However, all you really need is a few profession pictures taken. You could have your friends and guests take the rest of the pictures for you. They may not be professional, but they still capture the moments.

There lots of other mistakes brides make. But those 4 are the key to having success when you plan your affordable wedding. Now it is up to you to make sure you follow my advice.
